Dr. Muhammad Mizanur Rahaman, Associate Professor, CE, UAP delivers a public lecture at OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
On May 11, 2016, Dr. Muhammad Mizanur Rahaman, D.Sc. (Tech.), Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering,from University of Asia Pacific delivered a public lecture on "Integrated water resources management in international river basins: Principles and practices" at OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Rahaman also conducted a 2 credits postgraduate course on Integrated Water Management during 7 May – 17 May 2016 at OSCE Academy. In total 22 students from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Macedonia, participated in the course.
The OSCE Academy in Bishkek came out as a product of partnership between the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2002 the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding that formalized the creation of the Academy as a regional centerof postgraduate education and a forum for regional security dialogue and research.
